Buck Assisted Opening Knives (ASAP)

Buck Knives has developed assisted opening knives with patent pending ASAP (Advanced Spring Assisted Performance) Technology. The Buck knife engineers have created an advanced assisted opening design with a dual spring blade pivot. The dual spring pivot smoothly propels the blade into an open position, when manually activated by use of a thumb stud, or by a push on the blade release ridge.

The Buck Rush, Tempest and Sirus Knives with ASAP Assisted Opening Technology feature stainless steel blades with dual thumb studs, blade release ridge, and ASAP Assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The anodized aluminum handles of the Buck Rush, Tempest and Sirus Knives are compact, and include rolling cam lock safety mechanism, liner lock, and a stainless steel pocket clip.

New for 2007 is the Buck Catapult an assisted opening knife with patent pending LEAP Technology, a lever safety, and a light weight handle. LEAP is a "lever activated" design using a blade thumb stud to assist blade opening. A safety keeps the blade closed for protection, and is handle mounted above the blade thumb stud for convenient 1-hand operation.
