Ti-Lite with Zytel handle, from Cold steel knives, is designed to be opened in three ways: choose the thumb stud on the blade, or utilize the integral blade extensions-the small extension at the bottom for an index finger trigger, and the larger, top extension for rotating the blade open with the thumb. The top extension may also be used for "open on withdraw" a technique that involves catching the guard against the pant pocket or leg for instantaneous opening. (Use extreme caution when utilizing any "open on withdraw" technique!)
The Cold Steel Knife is the Cold Steel Zytel Ti-Lite Knife designed in collaboration with custom knifemaker Phil Boguszewski. This Cold Steel Ti-Lite Knife has a 6" stiletto style blade made of AUS 8 stainless steel, 4mm thick. The blade has a thumb stud for one hand opening, and dual blade extensions. The top blade extension serves as an index finger trigger opening option, and the two extensions form an integral guard when the blade is locked open. The drilled Zytel handle, 7" closed, has a stainless steel leaf spring lock. A removable stainless steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Cold Steel knife. The Cold Steel Zytel Ti-Lite Knife with 6" blade has an overall length of 13" when open, and weighs 6.8 ounces.
