The Spyderco Atlantic Salt Knife has a blade made out of a PH (precipitation hardened) steel that doesn't rust. H1 steel is naturally hard, and it will hold a sharpened cutting edge equivalent to many carbon steels. H1 has 1 percent nitrogen instead of carbon, so it cannot rust. The illustrated Spyderco Atlantic Salt Knife features a 3 5/8" sheepfoot blade made of H1 steel. The blade has a notched thumb ramp and Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black fiber reinforced nylon handle, 4 5/8" closed, has Volcano Grip texturing, a Boye Dent lockback, and lanyard hole. A side to side reversible black stainless steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end. The Spyderco Atlantic Salt Knife has an overall length of 8 3/16" when open, and weighs 2.6 ounces.
